Paul J. Dunn TEP

Lawyer

Paul practices in the areas of Wills and Estates, Corporate Commercial and Real Estate.

He has extensive experience in the area of Wills and Estates focusing on estate planning, estate administration and estate litigation. 

He is a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) and is on the executive of the South Alberta Canadian Bar Association Wills and Trusts practice session and is a past Chair of the Elder Law practice session. 

Paul has been a regular lecturer in the area of Wills and Estates with the Legal Education Society of Alberta and with STEP and has taught at the Alberta Law Society Bar Administration Course in the area of Wills and Estates.

Uba Anya

Lawyer

Uba Anya's practice is primarily in commercial litigation with an emphasis in the areas of Collections, Security Enforcement, Bankruptcy and Insolvency Litigation, Private and Commercial Lease Disputes, Subrogation matters, Foreclosures and Judicial Sales. 

​

He serves as Legal Counsel, partnering with several lending institutions and banks, trustees and receivers, insurance companies, private and commercial property owners and landlords, condominium corporations and charitable organizations.

​

Uba assists clients in dealing with commercial disputes at both the Provincial Court and Court of King’s Bench. Over the years, he has conducted representations at both the Provincial and Court of King’s Bench levels on behalf of National Banks and large insurance institutions. 

​

He has extensive experience in real estate transactions, aiding his clients with all aspects of residential purchases and sales. 

​

He has particular experience in small claims trials, conducting mediations and dealing with negotiations as it pertains to debt recovery.  Uba has over the years, in addition to his practice, contributed extensively to his community and is involved in providing voluntary services.

Alice Li

Legal Assistant

Alice Li has worked as a Legal Assistant for over 10 years. Over the years, she has garnered exceptional experience in the areas of Family Law, Wills and Estates, Corporate Law, Litigation, Commercial and Real Estate Law. She works closely with the Firm lawyers on various areas of law and is quite meticulous in her role. In her spare time, she is kept busy by her kids, family, faith community and hobbies such as reading and hiking.

Jessica Dacosta

Student-at-Law

Jessica obtained her LLB degree at the University of Liverpool in England, UK. As a student, she was a member of the Liverpool Law Clinic and regularly volounteered with the Liverpool Guild of Students. After she obtained her degree in 2015, she moved to Canada to further her education. Jessica attended the University of Calgary and obtained an LLM- Masters in Energy Environmental and Natural Resources Law. She thereafter worked for a National Insurance company for over  four years and has attained considerable experience in personal injury matters.    


Jessica loves working with children and has regularly volounteered as a childrens instructor with the Nigerian Canadian Association of Calgary. During her leisure time, Jessica enjoys spending time with her young family, baking and listening to a wide genre of music.
